Inshore fishing charters Anna Maria Island

Our guests aboard our fishing charters have been experiencing phenomenal weather and fishing around Anna Maria Island lately. The weather has started to cool down as we get into fall and has made for lots of activity out on Tampa Bay and waters surrounding Anna Maria Island and the Manatee River.
Fall is a very exciting time to be fishing around Tampa Bay. There have been big schools of ladyfish, jack crevelle, and Spanish mackerel off the beaches, in Tampa Bay around the Skyway fishing piers, and at the mouth of the Manatee River. There are schools of bait all over the place lately that these predators have been chasing making for fast action on our inshore fishing charters. There are also schools of redfish roaming the shallow grass flats near the mangroves and oyster bars. The snook are making their way back from the beaches and passes stopping along the grass flats and mangrove edges eating bait fish to put on weight to make it through the upcoming winter.
This is the time of year that can be very productive fishing just a few hundred yards to five miles off the beaches of Anna Maria Island. Predator fish such as Spanish mackerel, ladyfish, king mackerel, sharks, cobia, and bonita are migrating along with the bait fish schools making for some great action. Locating the schools of bait and birds working can be a good sign that some of these predators are lurking nearby.
